introducing mr. lumiere

photo challenge day 9: front door w/ the UK wreath i made

so we are working on developing a schedule...so far so good. ill post more once it is roughly developed. im sure once i do..it will change.

i have a little before and after to share with y'all. i found this large silver candlestick from restoration hardware at a local flea market for $2.00...he was looking very rough and abandoned.sad.and lonely. how could i resist! i say he because of this lil guy lumiere

it is amazing what people get rid of..but fun searching.finding.and restoring

not sure why my dining room paint looks so yellow and bright because it is more gold and muted in real life..but whatever..this is about my mr. lumiere. with a little bit of love from tarn-x [which smells horrible and gives warnings regarding cancer and exposure..geez] and some major rub down from my silver polish

i got this..my mr. lumiere all handsome and dapper now.

hope yall have a happy rest of your thursday! i have a lot of packing to do.. i'm headed to east tn for the weekend for some quality family time, and major snuggles with my adorable sophie, but will try to check in over the weekend or at least come back with some sweet pictures.

have any of yall saved a piece for your home that with a bit of labor love has become a keeper?
